I want to be as in depth as possible with this, critiquing on a few points: First, the clarity/focal point of the photo is good. The face is clearly outlined and is balanced with the headpiece, a difficult feat that I wanna give credit for. The makeup reminds us that the subject of the photo is the person, not the snakes. Speaking of which- Secondly, I can't say that I like the snakes on the head too much. They look like they're rubber to me. I think that the point of having them there is for to look real, but I don't get that upon close inspection. The snake on the bottom, however, looks convincing- wish I could see his face, as well as the model's. Third, the supporting elements- the rope, twist in the body- are simply fabulous. I think that the rope in the extreme foreground is distracting, but the slight blur of the background body is perfect. Fourth, the minimalistic background is great.
That's all, and I think this is a strong, strong piece. Something that I could never have done in a thousand years. With Photoshop editing on above points- 4.5 stars.
Love this entire series. This pose, which is the least conventional of the lot, body-wise, is probably my favorite, althought it does reveal that the snakes don't run all the way back your hair. Kudos to all involved.
